There are many attractions in and around Halifax from Eureka the renowned children's museum. The Piece Hall, built in 1779 as a market place for 'pieces' of cloth made by local hand loom weavers,it is one of the most significant and complete Georgian buildings in Britain, and now houses some 40 unique shops. Last but by no means least is Shibden Hall and country park, built in 1420 it's well worth a visit.
